Nutmeg and two of her puppies, Pepper & Sage, were brought into rescue after a run of unfortunate luck. Nutmeg appears to be a purebred Australian Shepherd and needs to gain 10-15 pounds after having pups as an undernourished stray. Pepper & Sage are Aussie-mixes... possibly with lab?? and happy, healthy pups ready for their new homes by November 1st.

- 10-01-07: Nutmeg, Sage, & Pepper brought into Rescue and come to our Foster Home
- 10-02-07: Nutmeg's follow-up visit at the vet
- 10-05-07: Nutmeg moves to the rescue to wean the puppies for her health
- 10-06-07: Sage & Pepper are 6 weeks old!
- 10-07-07: 1st worming for Sage & Pepper
- 10-12-07: 1st Vaccination: DA2PP
- 10-13-07: 1st Meet & Greet!
- 10-13-07: Sage & Pepper are 8 weeks old!
- 10-17-07: Pepper goes to her FTA home!
- 10-20-07: 2nd Meet & Greet for Sage, 1st for Nutmeg
- 10-20-07: Sage is 9 weeks old and weighs 10.7 pounds!

We are the family that adopted Pepper and we thought we would let you know that she is doing great! She is such a sweet dog, and very smart! She fits into our family so well. We can't even remember what is was like before we got her. Our kids, 6 and 7 years old, are responsible for feeding her. Our daughter feeds her breakfast and our son is in charge of her dinner. They love having the responsibility! Some mornings when she and I get up before everyone else, she sits at the bottom of the stairs and whines until the kids wake up and come down to see her. She has gotten very tall, but she has a thin build. She's over 50lbs. We love her so much. We are thankful that the dog we hoped to adopt wasn't at the Meet and Greet the day we went, because then we would have missed out on Pepper! We love her very much. Thank you for all that you do to give these dogs a chance at a great life.
