Wonderful Nutmeg and her sweet pups, Pepper & Sage, tugged at my heart as soon as I heard about them. I couldn't resist them! Nutmeg stayed here for a week so that we could take her to the vet and begin to feed her and help her regain her health. But her puppies pursued her relentlessly, so we sent her to the Rescue director's home for some TLC away from the babies.
Pepper and Sage are some of the best puppies we have EVER had. So playful and outgoing! They were born in a family's home and they clearly had lots of love and attention. The girls have a good start on housebreaking and crate training. They will be ready to go to their trial homes by the 1st of November, but their adoptions will not be finalized until they are spayed (probably in mid-November).
Nutmeg will need to gain enough weight to be spayed before she can be adopted as well.

Nutmeg and two of her puppies, Pepper & Sage, were brought into rescue after a run of unfortunate luck. Nutmeg appears to be a purebred Australian Shepherd and needs to gain 10-15 pounds after having pups as an undernourished stray. Pepper & Sage are Aussie-mixes... possibly with lab?? and happy, healthy pups ready for their new homes by November 1st.
